Our Commitment To Privacy
Your privacy is very important to us and we are taking steps to protect it. This notice provides an explanation of our online practices and your rights. This notice applies to all information on the Chicago Gateway Green website or any of its related websites, specifically Green Tie Ball and Tree Partnership.

The Information We Collect
For all visitors to our website we collect aggregate information about the pages you visit or access. We also collect information volunteered by website visitors such as name and email address, when joining our email list. For purposes of verifying your subscription to our email list, we also collect IP address.
On some pages, where you can purchase tickets or register for events, we collect additional information such as full name, address, phone number, business and credit card information. The purposes of collecting this information is to ensure that we can deliver to you the requested services.
When individuals communicate with us via email, we collect their email address for further correspondence and to service their inquiry.

In some cases (for example when making a donation) you are submitting information to a third party and that information is shared with Chicago Gateway Green only if expressly permitted by you. Similarly, you may submit information about another individual, such as name, if you are gifting a donation.

The Way We Use Information
We do not share your information with outside parties unless required to complete your order or donation. If you provided your contact information when making a donation or volunteering for the organization, it will be added to our email list and we may also send postal mail to you to thank you, provide updates on our work and to ask for your assistance in the future.

Individuals who subscribe their email address to our email list will receive 1-2 emails per month with organizational updates, special offers, event notifications and fundraising correspondence. Each email has a link at the bottom allowing subscribers to easily opt-out. We will never sell or trade our email list with another organization.
We may, on occasion, send relevant offers and information on behalf of our partners.

We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with potential partners. For example, we may tell a partner that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or how many visitors filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

On surveys, voluntary responses are reviewed in aggregate and we provide reporting on survey results that does not compromise the individual identity of any respondents.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

Our Commitment To Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Our Commitment To Children's Privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.

3rd Party Sites
We use some third party sites to host information or facilitate certain functions. We only use sites that also comply with strict privacy standards and those sites may be consulted for their privacy policies. Currently the following 3rd party sites are being used: Network for Good, MailChimp, EventBrite, Paypal.

As our work and website expands, we may have new and unanticipated uses. As our policy changes, we will update this policy.
