Chicago Gateway Green’s Associate Board is itching with spring fever and ready to enjoy some of the city’s finest barbecue in a festive atmosphere. On Tuesday, April 2, the Gateway Green team is throwing a party at Gale Street Inn (4914 N. Milwaukee Ave.), a longtime dedicated partner and Jefferson Park neighborhood staple, and is looking forward to seeing new and old faces. The guest list is open to anyone who wants to mingle and learn about the great things the organization is doing to beautify Chicago’s expressways, gateways and neighborhoods.
“Gale Street Inn has been a longtime Gateway Green Expressway Partner,” said Heather Korpella, Executive Director. “The wonderful thing about this partner is that it’s not a major corporation, it’s a great neighborhood eatery that loves what we do and wants to support our efforts. So it goes to show that any company is a good candidate for the Expressway Partnership Program (EPP).
Gateway Green isn’t the only one celebrating: Gale Street Inn turned the big 5-0 this year and plans to serve hors d’oeuvres and unlimited beer and wine from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Take a spin on the Wheel of Love, and you might win fantastic prizes including tickets to Green Tie Ball XXII.
“I am excited we are able to show our gratitude during their 50th anniversary by going up to their location and showing our support in them, all while they are hosting a party for or us! They truly are great people!” Heather said.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. All contributions and tickets benefit Chicago Gateway Green 501(c)3. For additional information, please contact Chicago Gateway Green at 312-540-9930 or[email protected].
