Do you love Chicago? Want to get your hands dirty?
Chicago Gateway Green’s volunteers are able to contribute to our mission by participating in tree plantings, helping out at events, and even working in our offices! By using VolunteerHub, we are able to organize our volunteer system to give our volunteers the best possible opportunities.
If you love volunteering in ways that benefit Chicago, and are looking for an opportunity beyond Chicago Gateway Green, the City of Chicago has organized a way to make this happen! Essentially, they have created their own version of VolunteerHub– a much bigger, more far-reaching version– and Chicagoans are now able to sign up and receive notifications of new volunteer opportunities. Talk about a great way to get involved!
The volunteer program, cleverly named One Good Deed Chicago, specifically target non-profits like Chicago Gateway Green and aims to engage more volunteers and to use them effectively to impact at-risk youth and enhance Chicago’s economy. It seems that if someone wants to get involve and doesn’t know where to start, One Good Deed Chicago is able to open the door to countless volunteer opportunities.
