At Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse you can find all the best Chicago steak and Italian specials. The Chicago destination is housed in a historic building that was once home to Frank Nitti, of the Al Capone gang. There are also locations in Rosemont and Lombard, IL. Other options include a seafood destination Holy Mackerel! in Lombard, IL, Harry Caray’s Tavern at Navy Pier and a location a Midway Airport. About Harry Caray:
After an athletic career in Missouri, Harry covered the St. Louis Cardinals games from 1945- 1969. According to the Harry Caray website he won “’Baseball Announcer of the Year’ for 7 years in a row by The Sporting News. Caray was inducted into the American Sportscasters Association Hall of Fame in 1989.”
He came to Chicago and became the legendary broadcaster of the Chicago White Sox until the early 80s. He also spoke at Cubs games and became the face of Chicago baseball.
