As this year’s warm Indian summer temperatures carry on, we are all looking forward to the arrival of fall in Chicago. It is such a beautiful time of the year when the rich colors unfold and make some of us crave something pumpkin or apple flavored.
As you get ready for the season ahead, we are turning our attention to a local organization that we hope everyone has had the chance to appreciate. The Chicago Botanic Garden is the destination to appreciate why the preservation and greening of our city and county is so important.
Make a visit to the garden this fall, located just 20 miles north of the city in Glencoe. Some great happenings for the season include: the fall bulb festival, autumn brews beer tasting, migration bird walk and September tram tours. We are most excited about a seminar they are hosting on September 18th on Sustainable Urban Greening which you can register for on their website.
Tickets are available online as well. Take advantage of all this organization has to offer and get in touch with nature this fall!
