At CGG, we place a strong value on giving back to the Chicago community. Here is a chance for you to plan a daring venture this winter and have the chance to donate to an organization in need of your support.
Since 1969, The Special Children’s Charities has been supporting programs in Chicago to engage community members with disabilities. According to their website, “In cooperation with the Chicago Park District, Chicago Public Schools and Special Olympics Illinois, Special Children’s Charities is committed to providing year-round sports training, recreational and social programs for the children and adults of Special Olympics Chicago.”
One popular fundraising event that this organization puts on in is the Polar Plunge. Last year over 2,300 people were up for the challenge. Go in to your waist or take the full on plunge! Those involved get a free t-shirt and towel after their dip in the lake. You can go as a group and participate in the costume contests to really make the most of this bucket list worthy experience.
Everyone is welcome to join. Sign up to take the plunge with a group today. Each person who registered is expected to raise a minimum $150 dollars for Special Olympics Chicago
The plunge will be held at North Avenue Beach on March 2nd 2014 at 10:00 a.m.
