The 35th Street Bridge Program
The The 35th Street Bridge Program transforms the 35th Street bridge median into a vibrant flower bed featuring seasonal plantings as you head over to watch the White Sox play. Colorful flower baskets are hung from the light posts to guide your way along 35th Street into Rate Field. Every spring and summer the median is planted carefully with a mix of native grasses, pollinator friendly flowers, and lush shrub. When fall approaches, the plants are changed up to hearty mums and cold tolerant foliage. This roadway garden is sponsored by The Chicago White Sox, The ISFA, and IIT since 2003.
